Comanche
Rock Ranch is located at the base of Enchanted Rock in the
heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The ranch is 15
minutes north of Fredericksburg and the Enchanted Rock State
Natural Area marks our northern ranch border. Fredericksburg,
settled in 1848 by German immigrants, abounds with historical
sights, wonderful restaurants, antique stores and great shopping.
We
are 1 1/2 hours from airports in either Austin or San Antonio
where you will find fine restaurants, culture, history, and
southern hospitality. Fredericksburg has a 5000 foot runway
with lights and a beacon as well as 24 hour seven days a week
service. It has 1.5 acres of aircraft parking and new, insulated
hangars. Rental cars are available. A short 3 1/2 hour drive
puts you on the beaches of the Gulf Coast or in the excitement
and romance of Old Mexico.
Comanche
Rock Ranch is home to a wide variety of wildlife including
Whitetail and Axis Deer, Wild Turkey, Black Buck Antelope,
Aoudad Sheep, as well as many predators, a miramid of game
and song birds, plus beautiful wildflowers, and an abundance
of butterflies. We are located in Gillespie County which currently
has more deer than any other Texas county and thus one of
the largest concentrations of deer in the country. Comanche
Rock Ranch offers great Texas Hill Country hunting. The ranch
is ideal for family vacations or business retreats, weddings,
and family reunions. The opportunities for hiking, birding,
rock climbing, and photography are limited only by one's time
and energy. Our location also makes a great home base to rest
your head while touring the Texas Hill Country.

The proud and alert Whitetail Buck is the primary focus for
our game management program on the Comanche Rock Ranch. Please
sit back for a minute to look through all of the topics listed
under Ranch Information and familiarize yourself with our
ranch.
