Photographic
Outings
Sit in one of our deer blinds and see Trophy Whitetail Bucks,
beautiful Axis, elusive Aoudad Sheep, or those unusual Blackbucks.
Look closely and you may see Rio Grand Turkey or a Raccoon.
These will be about 100 yards from you. We have also equipped
some of our ‘on demand feeders’ with game viewing
at a much closer range for photography blinds. We don’t
allow hunting around these feeders and thus these blinds markedly
increase your nature photographic and game viewing opportunities.
Rarely would an hour pass without many opportunities to take
photographs of Whitetail and Axis deer, Rio Grand Turkeys, Raccoons,
Morning and White-wing Doves and Quail as well as other Texas
wildlife in their natural surroundings. Cost is $100/day. Lodging
available at extra cost if desired. See our Photography Tours
for photos of the ranch, butterflies, birds, wildflowers and
much more.

Varmint
Calling
The ranch is home to Coyotes,
Bobcats, Raccoons, Ringtail cats, Badgers, Gray and Red Fox.
We offer ‘varmint’ calling evening expeditions
both for hunters, photographers, and all those wanting to
see these nocturnal occupants of Texas ranch country that
so often go unseen. This is an excellent way to interest and
excite your younger family members in the beauty and wonder
of the outdoors. These outings cost $250 for group of 4 or
less. Lodging will be available at extra cost if desired.

Shooting
Lessons
Young
children need a skilled and casual introduction to shooting
arms and an hour spent with Jason in this endeavor can bring
rewards for your children for years to come. Let them learn
how to safely handle a gun and how to load, aim, and shoot
a twenty-two. Take a few shots at a target with a rifle or
pistol. Try your hand with a shotgun at sporting clays. This
brief introduction to traditional American ways of life still
have a lot of value and may well stick with your children
for years to come. The cost is $40 per shooter for a hour
of lessons. Take a few shots at a target with a rifle, pistol
orbow and arrow.
Guided
Nature Tours
If you would like a guided tour to see and identify
native Texas trees, shrubs, grasses, vines, and wildflowers
we will be glad to set it up for you. You might prefer a guided
nature walk to see a 300-year-old structure that local Indians
used to observe the rise of the moon. How about a guided search
for deer sheds, arrowheads, and quartz crystals. There is
always ‘varmint’ calling or a walk to a deer blind
so that you can see our game animals come to food or water.
You name it and we will set it up. Contact us for cost.
